Who We Are

The Center for Environmental Research & Development Initiatives (CERDI), Bangladesh is a registered nonprofit, non-government organization under the NGO Affairs Bureau, Prime Minister’s Office, dedicated to transforming vulnerable communities through sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive empowerment. As a strictly non-political and non-discriminatory organization, CERDI works at the grassroots level across Bangladesh to create lasting impact through safe water and sanitation, women and child empowerment, nutritional support for vulnerable people, Economic and livelihood enhancement of rural vulnerable women by handicraft making training environmental research, carbon neutrality, climate resilience and adaptation, and mass environmental awareness. By integrating scientific research with practical community action, CERDI addresses both urgent humanitarian needs and long-term environmental challenges, empowering communities with the resources, knowledge, and opportunities needed to build healthier lives, resilient livelihoods, and a sustainable future for generations to come.

CERDI Bangladesh aims to alleviate poverty, reduce illiteracy, empower women, protect child rights, improve health and sanitation, preserve cultural heritage, manage disasters, and promote sustainable environmental solutions through research and community development.
